A forum about the development of fine art education in rural China kicked off at the Capital Normal University in Beijing on Thursday. The forum, hosted by the university and relevant organizations, focused topics including the past 70 years of fine art education in rural areas, education methodology, the strategic development of rural education as well as traditional Chinese art education. Yin Shaochun, a professor from Capital Normal University, shared his thoughts on rural art education while Liang Jiu from Beijing Normal University focused on the future of art education. 

Scholars and experts at the forum also discussed the importance of art education, and the critical role it plays in China's rural schools.
