A male taxi driver from Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou Province, has been given a "grievance award" by his company after a drunk male passenger demanded the driver to kiss him.

"Kiss me! I am not leaving until you kiss me," the passenger said repeatedly to the taxi driver according to a video shot from the taxi's dashboard and posted on the internet.

The passenger continued to refuse to pay his fare until the driver blew him a kiss. The video appears to show the driver consoling the passenger while still refusing to give a real smooch.

Later the passenger complained to the taxi company saying that the driver refused to take him, even though the video shows they had arrived at the man's destination.

The company investigated the passenger's complaint and gave the driver a 500 yuan ($70.7) grievance award and praised his proper handling of the situation.

"As far as I know, he is the first taxi driver to win this award from our company. Taxi drivers are really hard-working people. It is truly annoying to pick up such passengers," an employee of that taxi company told Pear Video in a phone interview.

"The taxi driver was really good-tempered, he should accuse the passenger of harassment," said a netizen.

"Don't want to imagine the passenger drunk vomiting while they kissed…" wrote another offering a thought no one would want to imagine.
