A hospital in East China has offered a woman two chickens in compensation for an error in her medical report saying she had seven abortions, which caused her husband and in-laws to doubt her fidelity.

The hospital in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province has admitted that the report had a typing error, but that hasn't erased the suspicions of the woman's husband and mother-in-law.

"My husband thinks I have had affairs. He often quarrels with me because of this."

"I have been married six years and only have one daughter who is in kindergarten. I have never had an abortion or a miscarriage," the woman surnamed Li said in a video posted by the Paper, which didn't show the woman's face.

The erroneous medical report also indicated she had had 24 premature births.

Despite the hospital's retraction and the absurd number of procedures it listed, Li's mother-in-law still believes the original report. "I think it is true," the stern, unyielding woman told the Paper.

Li sued the hospital in a local court and asked for an apology and a better explanation to her family.

The hospital only agreed to give Li two chickens. "I don't know what they are supposed to mean," said Li, who appears not to be a farmer, didn't accept the offer.

The hospital maintains that Li hasn't proven that the errors had affected her life.
