Alzheimer's disease

(āěrcí hǎimò zhènɡ)

A: Look, there seems to be something stuck to that electric pole over there.

(nǐkàn, nàbiān diànxiànɡānshànɡ hǎoxiànɡ tiēzhe shénme dōnɡxī.)

B: It's a missing persons flyer. It seems that an elderly person suffering from Alzheimer's disease got lost. The person's family is very worried, so they have put out a substantial award to thank any witnesses.

(shì xúnrén qǐshì. hǎoxiànɡ shì huàn āěrcí hǎimò zhènɡ de lǎoniánrén zǒudiū le. jiārén hěn zháojí, zhònɡjīn ɡǎnxiè mùjīzhě.)

A: My grandmother suffered from Alzheimer's disease. When she was still with us, she used to run off like this. We had to look everywhere for her.

(wǒ de wàipó jiùshì āěrcí hǎimò huànzhě. tā háizàishì de shíhòu, yě jīnɡchánɡ zhèyànɡ pǎochūqù. wǒmén dàochù zhǎotā.)

B: It seems the families suffer even more than those with the disease.
