The G20 has taken swift action in the wake of COVID-19, as humanity experiences the most serious global pandemic in a century. Countries have agreed to step up cooperation to fight the pandemic, including advanced R&D of medicines and vaccines, and maintaining economic and financial stability. China has played an important role in fighting the pandemic as one of the countries participating in international cooperation to find a COVID-19 vaccine. China will also help boost global economic growth as it will be the only major economy to achieve growth in 2020, according to the IMF, which said without China, "global cumulative growth for 2020 and 2021 is negative".
