Hengdian Movie and Television City

Based in Hengdian town of Dongyang city, Zhejiang Province, Hengdian Movie and Television City is a super-scale movie base which comprises various real-size replicas for all kinds of movie shooting. It is the largest movie base in Asia which enjoys the fame of "Oriental Hollywood". Every day, theater groups come here to shoot various stories ranging from the high and the lowly, joys and sorrows.

Covering an area of 200 hectares, Hengdian Movie and Television City is composed of Guangzhou Town which shows the streets in Guangzhou in 1840; Qin Palace Compound; the Ancient-styled Folk Houses; Dazhi Zen Temple which served as a stage for Kungfu movies; Streets of the Ming (1368-1644) and the Qing (1644-1911) dynasties style which embody the best of architectural wonders of folk houses in the two dynasties; Gunfight Location which is desirable for shooting gunfights; Old Town of Hong Kong which reproduces part of 19th-century streets in Hong Kong and the Location of Qingming Festival by the Riverside Painting.

Transportation:

Visitors can take a bus at the Hangzhou South Bus Station to Dongyang which leaves every 15 minutes. In Dongyang West Bus Station and East Bus Station, there are special buses to Hengdian Movie and Television City departing every 10 minutes. The journey takes about 15 minutes and the bus ticket costs 25 yuan.

Get around: visitors can take tourist buses to transfer to each scenic location in the movie city. The bus leaves every 15 minutes and the ticket costs 1 yuan. Besides, the three-wheeled vehicles are also a good choice.

 

Shanghai Film Shooting Base

Located in Chedun town of Songjiang district, Shanghai Film Shooting Base (or Shanghai Film Park) is an ideal place for movie shooting, sightseeing and culture communication. There are many different scenes in the park, such as "Shanghai traditional houses", "Downtown Shanghai in old times", "Nanjing Road in the 30's", "Old Shanghai bridge", "European style architecture", "Church", "Peace Plaza", "Suzhou Creek", "Lake and mountain area", screening rooms, large soundstages, costume and prop ware-house and film library. Besides, visitors can find many attractions here, such as old Shanghai street show, trolley, and racecourse. It is not only a best choice for production crews, but a perfect place for tourists.

Admission fee: 50 yuan

Transportation: take the tourist bus at the Shanghai Stadium to the Shanghai Film Shooting Base. The bus leaves at 8:50 am from Monday to Friday.

 



Zhongshan TV and Film City

Located at Cuiheng Village, Zhongshan city, Guangdong Province, Zhongshan TV and Film City is the only shooting base themed by the life of Sun Yat-sen. It is composed of 5 main scenic areas including China Scenic Area, Japan Scenic Area, England Scenic Area, US Scenic Area and the Exhibition Area.Besides, there are tourist scenic spots, film and TV cultural exhibition center, recreational facilities and modern high-tech movie as well as TV art facilities. The Zhongshan TV and Film City is truly a comprehensive tourist base which integrates revolutionary commemoration, historical tradition and film &TV culture.

Admission fee: 50 yuan

Transportation: take bus No. 2, 12 or 212 and get off at Zhongshan Yingshi Cheng (Zhongshan TV and Film City) station.

 



Changchun Movie Wonderland

Located near Jingyuetan National Forest Park, Changchun Movie Wonderland is the first world-class movie theme amusement park in China and also symbols the reform and the second-phase development of Changchun Film Studio.

As a movie themed amusement park, Changchun Movie Wonderland has developed a series of film-based amusement programs. The special effect of movie is the most unique product for tourism industry. In it, there are five special effect theaters with 3D gigantic screen, 4D special effects, dome screen, laser suspension and water screen. Visitors will be attracted by the most advanced movie special effects, which can be competed with Hollywood and Disneyland. Because of this, it is also known as the "capital of special-effect movies around the world".

Admission fee: 240 yuan (120 yuan on Tuesday)

Bei Putuo Filming City

Located about 20 kilometers from downtown Beijing, Bei Putuo Filming City is the third largest film city in China. Covering an area of 300,000 square meters, it was built in the style of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, combining filming station, tourism services and filming research into one. There are over 20 scenic spots inside. Visitors can also find the memorial hall for Cao Xueqin, the writer of Hong Lou Meng (Dream of the Red Chamber) in this filming city. Besides, a variety of Chinese culture shows such as the lion dance and dragon dance are held there.

Tongli Film Town

Located in Wujiang city, Jiangsu Province, the old town of Tongli is a natural film shooting base. It is endowed with blessing of water town landscape and well keeps a large number of buildings from Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. The ancient architectures are built by the riverside, which renders the town the name of "Small Oriental Venice". For ten years, it attracts millions of visitors as well as crowds of film production crews.

Admission fee: 80 yuan

 



Xiangshan Film and Television City

Located in Xinqiao town, Xiangshan county, Ningbo city in Zhejiang Province, Xiangshan Film and Television City is a beautiful place ingeniously unified local mountains, rivers, crags, forest and caves. It is the biggest film and television city which annotates Song Dynasty (960–1279) ancient construction art, combining tourism with culture. There is a splendid Xiangyang city, representing the Song dynasty's construction style. All historical film and television themes can find their appropriate scenes here.

Admission fee: 60 yuan

Transportation: take the minibus at Ningbo South Bus Station to Xiangshan county, and take the minibus at Xiangshan Bus Station to Xinqiao town.

 



Zhenbeibu Film City

Located at the Zhenbeibu town of Xixia district in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Zhenbeibu Film City contributes a lot to China's film industry. Many famous Chinese films are produced here. Some of these films are awarded national prizes and international prizes. Some of these films are awarded national prizes and international prizes. In this film city, visitors can find film gallery, photo gallery, pottery workshops and many other entertainment facilities.

Admission fee: 60 yuan
Transportation: take bus No.303 and get off at Zhenbeibu Station.

 



Jiaozuo Film and Television City

Located one kilometer north of Jiaozuo city, Jiaozuo Film and Television City is a large film shooting base built by CTV station and the People's Government of Jiaozuo city. It is built at the foot of Mount Fenghuang and covers an area of 15,000 square meters. It can be mainly divided into four sections which include the city gate big square section, the imperial palace of the Zhou Dynasty (1046BC-221BC), the imperial palace of the Chu State and the downtown streets.

Admission fee: 30 yuan

 



Zhuozhou Film City

Those who favor historical films are familiar with Zhuozhou Film City. As many historical films are shot in the place. Visitors feel returning to the past when step into this film city. It is composed of ancient pavilions, towers, terraces, courtyards, bridges and corridors. The most fabulous scenic sight is the Bronze Peacock Terrace which was truly existed in Three Kingdoms (220–280).
