Total, Chinese Great Wall Motor establish partnership

China's automaker Great Wall Motor (GWM) and Total Lubrifiants, a France-based lubricants company, have signed an agreement on international cooperation, GWM said Tuesday.

The agreement was concluded by GWM's vice president Xing Wenlin and Philippe Montanteme, president of Total Lubrifiants, on Thursday in the city of Baoding, headquarters of GWM, according to the company's press release.

Under the three-year term agreement, the two companies established a strategic partnership with Total Lubrifiants designated lubricant provider in GWM's after-sales auto service in the countries of Russia, Chile and Italy.

GWM will also receive access to Total Quartz automotive lubricants, as well as the marketing expertise of Total Lubrifiants, according to the agreement.

Total Lubrifiants, a subsidiary of the Total group, sells products in more than 150 countries. It produces anti-freeze, coolants, base oils and lubricants for the automotive, industrial and marine sectors.
