A woman living in Hualien, Taiwan, walked more than 10 kilometers in her sleep in the early hours on March 7 before being discovered by police and returned to her home.

Police said that around 4 am, two officers were driving along Ji'an Lu when they spotted the woman in her 40s walking barefoot on the road in thin pajamas.

The woman had difficulty responding to the officers' questions, repeating that she was afraid of another sleepwalking spell.

The woman told police that she had two children at home, and did not want them to find out about the incident.

The woman rode with police back to her home.
