In Asia, we are confident to build up an effective firewall against the old allies of the States; and outside Asia, we are in the steady process of building up a solid foundation for future alliances. The global politics of the future will not sit on equilibriums created by political tension, but will be built on open communication and collaborations. Aggression is no longer the most effective tool in reaching a target, peaceful talks go far. No one wants to risk breaking the current balance  because too much is at stake.

@蚂蚁水上写字: The profit margin has been increasing at a good speed in business collaborations with the African continent, but it's hard to say if net profits will still be high after two decades. America is still experienced in the calculation of foreign policy; their long-term strategic plan is something we should learn from. Every time I read a report issued by the US Center for Strategic and International Studies, I am re-affirmed by the idea that the power of a country is very much the result of the direction of a State's foreign policy, hence I can't help wondering whether it is a reasonable route for us to take to hide behind various domestic issues that arise during this unique stage of social-economic development from our responsibilities in the international arena.

@偶然思考: Keep using cheap manual labor to gain competitiveness in the global market, accumulate much foreign exchange reserves, invest in the market with low competition, and gain favors from targeted countries through investment in order to develop enough political goodwill in preparation for future alliances. Does this sound like a brief summary of the "Chinese model"?

@我比姚明矮: Foreign policy makers in the Philippines are equally unpredictable as those in Japan; they think taking advantage of the standing dispute and existing conflicts between the super powers will do them good. No, time will prove them wrong.
