The special representative of the UN secretary general in Cote d'Ivoire Albert Koenders said that the mission is ready to support the Cote d'Ivoire government to improve the conditions in prisons.

"We have discussed with the Cote d'Ivoire authorities and we hope to contribute to the efforts to reinforce safety measures in prisons," Koenders said after a tour of prisons across the country.
