Thailand's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) plans to burn nearly three tonnes of illegal drugs with a street value of 6.9 billion baht ($217.4 million) on Friday.
The agency is set to incinerate the said amount of narcotics confiscated in over 1,000 cases at the Bang Pa-in industrial estate in central Ayutthaya province on Friday afternoon.
The drugs to be destroyed include 1,936kg of methamphetamine worth $202.5 million, 147kg crystal methamphetamine worth $13.6 million and 58kg of heroin worth $1.3 million.
