Four Turkish soldiers were wounded in an explosion at an ammunition depot in western Turkey on Monday, local newspaper Today's Zaman reported on its website.

The explosion occurred at Cuhane Military Ammunition Depot, located near the village of Rahmiye in Izmit province, injuring the four soldiers, according to the report.

Firefighters and ambulances were sent to the depot to bring the blaze under control, said the report.
