The Bank of Taiwan is to open its first branch office in Shanghai Tuesday, a step toward closer ties between financial institutions on the Chinese mainland and Taiwan.
In order to expand its global presence, the Bank of Taiwan also has plans to set up branches in New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Johannesburg and London.
The Bank of Taiwan offers enterprises and individuals foreign exchange deposit services, foreign currency credit and corporate foreign currency liquidity loans.
