Evelyn Wang, the chief operating officer (COO) of Tudou Holdings, a leading video-sharing company, has resigned from her position, according to a statement from the company issued Tuesday.

Wang had decided to step down in order to pursue personal development opportunities elsewhere, the statement explained.

The company also mentioned that Wang's resignation would not effect its merger with Youku Inc, another major domestic provider of online video content.
