S.Korea's chief nuclear envoy to visit Europe

South Korea's top nuclear envoy is set to travel to Europe next week to meet with senior officials over the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s nuclear program, the foreign ministry here said Friday.

Lim Sung-nam, who represents South Korea in the six-party talks aimed at ridding the DPRK of its nuclear weapon program, will visit France, Germany and Briatian on a six-day tour starting Sunday.

He will talk with French president's diplomatic advisor Paul Jean-Ortiz, Clemens von Goetze of the German foreign ministry and British foreign office minister Jeremy Browne.

The six-party negotiations, which also involve China, the United States, Japan and Russia, were last held in December 2008.
