Donations to Du Chuanwang, the 13-year-old boy who was transferred to a Beijing hospital after sustaining severe injuries when air was injected into his body with a high-pressure hose, exceeded 900,000 yuan ($141,120) as of Saturday, the Legal Mirror reported Sunday.

Du's condition is stable, although he cannot speak. 

The families of the two suspects who injured Du are also poverty-stricken. One suspect's elderly father suffers from a mental disability, while the other's 30-year-old bother recently  died from complications of diabetes.
