At least three more people were killed while two others injured as fresh violence erupted in the northeast Indian state of Assam, where Muslim immigrants and local ethnic Bodo people have been clashing in the state's Kokrajhar district, reported Press Trust of India Tuesday.

The latest casualties raised the death toll in the violence to 64 since last month.

Police said Bodo gunmen indiscriminately fired in a village late Monday night, killing three people and seriously injuring two others.

Following the incident, a curfew has been clamped again in Kokrajhar while an indefinite curfew continues in the neighboring Chirang amid fresh reports of arson, said the report.
