A homemade submarine, Sacred Dragon 2, sits in a factory in Fuyang, Anhui Province, awaiting the installation of an electronic system before its trial run. Its maker, Zhang Junlin, a retired police officer, said the ship can dive 50 meters underwater and can move at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour, carrying 12 passengers.
