Six people were killed Sunday in the south of Colombia in a car-bomb explosion, which authorities believe were done by the rebel Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).

Two children were among the dead, local authorities said, pointing fingers to FARC guerrillas.

Colombian Defense Minister Juan Carlos Pinzon condemned the attack as "a crime against humanity that will never be forgiven," vowing to capture the criminals and bring them to justice.

The attack occurred in Vista Hermosa, Caqueta province, where FARC has a strong presence. Local residents have lately suffered a series of attacks on power infrastructure.

Local media reported that the bomb had been put in a box in a taxi before it was detonated accidentally by a passenger.
