The Beijing Morning Post alleged the Chinese men's Olympic basketball team was slighted by the Asian Cup organization committee in Tokyo on Wednesday after a player posted on his microblog that the team had to wait for hours at the airport for their bus.

The team arrived in Tokyo to attend the Asian Cup held in Japan late on Wednesday evening when team member Du Feng posted on Weibo that they were told a bus would come after 35 minutes. However after 40 minutes, the team was told no bus would come and they should take the airport shuttle bus downtown, said Feng's post.

The team was delayed for two hours, and were still at the airport after midnight, the paper said without providing further details.

@陈勇CYF發:
How can the Chinese government be tough? Should it declare war against Japan and boycott Japanese products? Chinese people should be strong and tough themselves.

@潇潇雨凭栏: They are spineless. They should have bravely declared to withdraw from the games then and there.

@ ROCK_ATM: Chinese people should be tough, but the one who should be really tough is our government, though they must take public opinion into consideration. The team ran into some obstacles in Japan; we should support them instead of ridicule them.

@地板很脏: Sports are overshadowed by politics. What the Japanese do will only to make people know how vengeful they are. People always say Japanese people have good qualities but I don't think those qualities include morality.
