A calf that was born earlier this month with five legs and six hoofs is reported to be strong and healthy on its Chengcun village farm in Luoning county in Luoyang, Henan Province.

The calf born early this month has an extra leg at its right foreleg.

The fifth leg is 50 centimeters in length, and has two hoofs at the end. It does not touch the ground, but simply sways as the calf walks.

The calf's owner, Zhang Gulan, said that the five-legged animal's mother is 7 years old, and perfectly healthy, and that the calf is strong and has no other problems.
