Beijing bands Carsick Cars, Casino Demon and Steely Heart deliver what promises to be an energetic rock concert this Friday at Mao Livehouse. Fresh from the launch of their latest EP, Casino Demon is looking to stake their claim among the capital's rock royalty.

Club Haze anniversary @ Club Haze

To celebrate their first anniversary, night club Club Haze has recruited DJs Yang Bing, Donald Summer and Pancake Lee for a weekend birthday bash poised to go into the wee hours of the morning. Open State exhibition @ Studio X Beijing

This exhibition featuring 16 design works by Open Architecture has been on display at Studio X Beijing since September 29. Exhibits including unfinished and finished architecture designs by the studio aim to offer a picture of modern day architecture designs and various solutions to challenges during the designs. Every project on display is showcased with simple messages. The exhibition also shines the spotlight on public spaces in city buildings and how they can build connections between urban dwellers and nature.

"Words We Have Learned Since 9/11" photography exhibition @ Three Shadows Photography Art Center

Photography exhibition "Words We Have Learned Since 9/11," launched by American visual artist Clayton Campbell and his son, finally comes to Beijing this Saturday at the Three Shadows Photography Art Center. The exhibition aims to help people from different parts of the word communicate and commemorate with each other about the 9/11 terror attacks in the US. Visitors are invited to be a part of the exhibition by being photographed with placards bearing words and phrases that capture emotions from the world's most devastating terror attacks.
