Zimbabwe Vice President Joice Mujuru on Sunday commended the Asian Diplomatic Ladies group in the country for transforming lives of local underprivileged members of the society through donations and construction of school blocks.

As a guest of honor at a fund-raising dinner to raise funds for projects initiated by the Asian Diplomatic Ladies in Zimbabwe, Mujuru said the group are complementing the government efforts in the transformation of people's lives.

Asian Diplomatic Ladies President Madam Suman Tripathi said a number of projects have been carried out since the launch of the organization in 1996 and more work is being done to ensure that the group covers all parts of the country.

The Asian Diplomatic Ladies group has been doing a lot of charity work in the country since its formation and has assisted in the building of schools.

The money raised at the event is earmarked for supporting various homes such as Child Rape Victims at Parirenyatwa Hospital, and to provide solar geysers to Mother Theresa Home, Tichakunda Pre-School and other homes in the country.
