Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Yang Yujun has dismissed media reports about a planned test launch of an anti-satellite missile in November.

"Such reports did not conform to the fact," Yang said at a regular news briefing on Thursday.

Reports said that China will conduct the test targeting satellites with a high orbit altitude, such as reconnaissance satellites and navigation satellites. Reports said the test would be conducted after the US presidential election next month.
