Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economy Hatta Rajasa said on Tuesday that the government is eying to double investment from the United Kingdom to $6 billion by 2015 as both states have committed to boost cooperation on investment.

Minister Hatta made the statement at the Air Force airport prior to a state visit to UK of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

"Now (the UK investment) is about $3 billion. We want it to double by 2015," he was quoted by detik online, one of leading portals in the country, as saying.

Indonesia regained the investment grade by Moody's on Jan. 18 and Fitch's on December 15, helping lure foreign funds into the country.

Indonesian investment rose by 25.1 percent to 81.8 trillion rupiah (some $8.5 billion) in the third quarter on year, M. Chatib Basri, Chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board, has said.

In the first nine months, investments have increased by 27 percent to 229.9 trillion rupiah (some $23.17 billion) compared with the same period of last year, the board has said.
