Frozen food at Shanghai supermarkets passed 63.6 percent of local quality control bureau tests, local media reported Monday.

The bureau tested 22 batches of frozen food from 20 manufactures during a recent spot-check. Eight of the batches failed. Most of the substandard food was unpeeled shrimp sold in local supermarkets.
