Chinese online retailer vipshop.com's loss has narrowed to $1.5 million in the quarter ended September 30, compared with a total loss of $17.5 million in the prior year period, the company said Wednesday.
In the third quarter, its total revenue surged 197 percent to $155.9 million, according to Vipshop's financial results.
Vipshop has attributed the increase to the establishment of several regional sub-sites in China. For the full year of 2012, the company expects its net revenues to reach up to $632 million.
