DPRK top leader visits Ministry of State Security

Kim Jong Un, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), visited the Ministry of State Security, the official KCNA news agency reported Tuesday.

During the visit, which marked the ministry's founding anniversary, Kim stressed the important role the ministry has played in protecting the sovereignty of the country and the nation, according to the KCNA.

Kim highly appreciated the feats performed by the security personnel, and set forth important tasks to be fulfilled after hearing a report on state security.

Kim was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Jang Song Thaek, vice chairman of the DPRK National Defense Commission.
