Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying Monday called for a more "comprehensive, solid and accurate" assessment of the country's economic outlook after a report by credit rating agency Fitch.

"Among the global economies, it can be widely seen that China's economy performs well," Hua said.

Some leading international banks, companies and think tanks recently issued reports saying that global investors are optimistic about the country's economy, Hua noted.

Media reported that Fitch Ratings said in a report that stable outlooks dominated emerging Asian sovereign ratings, but China and India are major exceptions to the stable outlook.
