A Beijing court on Monday ordered a veterinarian to compensate a racehorse owner 120,000 yuan ($19,000) because it died under his treatment, the Legal Mirror reported.

The owner surnamed Jia sued a vet surnamed Zhang in Daxing District People's Court, demanding compensation of 800,000 yuan for the racehorse, which he bought for 610,000 yuan. Jia found the horse was ill on January 21 and then called Zhang for help, but the horse suddenly died after an injection three days later.
