Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman said Monday that the West has politicized Iran's nuclear issue to pressure the country, semi-official Mehr news agency reported.

The issue that has been magnified by the West has "no technical and legal" dimension since if it was the case, the nuclear issue should have been resolved easily, Ramin Mehmanparast was quoted as saying.

Iran is the signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty ( NPT), so it has legal rights to enjoy, but the West has politicized the issue to deprive the country from its rights, he added.

Iran has repeatedly urged the West to adopt "logical approach" in the nuclear talks with Iran and to recognize Iran's nuclear rights, he said, reiterating that Iran is also ready to remove their probable concerns.

The Islamic republic and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) held intensive talks here on Thursday over the remaining issues of Iran's nuclear activities and decided to meet in Tehran on January 16, 2013 for further talks.
