A car tumbled off the 3-meter-high Zhichun Bridge in Haidian district at 8:40 am Thursday, injuring the driver and a female passerby, the Beijing Evening News reported.
Witness said that the car hit a patch of ice while driving southbound on the bridge, went into a skid and broke through the guardrail. The car fell on the service road under the bridge, blasting gravel into the air, which injured a female passerby. The driver crawled out of the car. Both the driver and the woman were sent to Beijing Haidian Hospital with minor injuries.
