Indian police will file its charge sheet against the six accused in the horrifying gang rape on Dec. 16 at a magistrate's court in Saket, south Delhi, on Thursday, said police sources.

The case will then be moved to a fast-track court. Police are expected to propose death sentence for all the six in their 1000- page charge sheet, according to the sources

The fast-track court was inaugurated Wednesday by India's Supreme Court Chief Justice Altamas Kabir in the Indian capital.

While affirming that justice will be done for the 23-year-old medical student who was raped and tortured to death, the chief justice said, "A serious message needs to be sent in dealing with such heinous crimes", indicating that capital punishment could be given to the thugs.

No lawyer has agreed to represent the accused in protest against the crime, which has rocked India since mid-December.
