A total of 230 real guns, 600 simulated guns and 7,500 bullets were confiscated by the Beijing police in 2012, the Beijing Evening News reported Saturday.

Police also confiscated 3,600 kilograms of illegal explosives. More than 500 people involved in illegal guns and explosives have been detained.
