Ten new ministers are expected to swear into office in a cabinet reshuffle in Egypt on Sunday, official news agency MENA reported.

The new ministers, according to MENA, include Mohamed Ibrahim as minister of interior, Basem Kamal as supplies minister, Al-Morsi al-Sayed Hegazi as finance minister, Atef Helmi as communication minister and Omar Mohamed Salem as parliamentary affairs minister.

They also include Hatem Abdel-Latif as minister of transportation, Ahmed Imam as minister of electricity, Mohamed Ali Bishr as minister of local development, Wael al-Maaddawi as minister of civil aviation and Khaled Mohamed Fahmi as minister of environment,

Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi said in a speech late December 2012 that he had discussed with Prime Minister Hesham Qandil an imminent cabinet reshuffle to improve the government's performance and make it able to cope with the ongoing political, social and economic challenges.
