Myanmar has reformed its national culture central committee to carry out renovation task with momentum after designating ancient cultural zones and to discover and preserve ancient cultural heritage, according to an announcement of the President's Office published Thursday.

The 31-member reconstituted central committee of Myanmar national culture is headed by the Minister of Culture.

The committee is tasked to lay down policy in uplifting national prestige and integrity, safeguarding cultural heritage and national character and dynamism of patriotism, the announcement said.

The committee is also set for responsible for development of higher quality cultural arts of Myanmar nationalities, the announcement added.
