A property agent has complained of harassment by men pounding on his door Saturday night, which he claimed is the result of a road rage incident involving the wife of an official and a soldier Thursday.

Mao Xiaoqiang, who works at Xishiku Homelink, Xicheng district, said a group of people had battered on his door.

"If I disappear, please repost this message. My address was registered when I gave a statement at the police station [Friday]," he wrote on his Sina microblog Sunday.

Mao, who is staying with a friend, said he is safe and still going to work as usual.

"I've only lived in my home two months; a few colleagues know where I live," he said.

The kerfuffle dates back to Thursday afternoon, when Mao had a conflict with two people in a black Nissan.

"I was riding an electric bike on Thursday in the cycle lane at Xishiku Dajie, Xicheng district. The lane was narrow and I couldn't give way," he said.

The female passenger and the driver, who was wearing a military uniform, got out and beat him, leaving injuries to his face and little finger, he alleged.

"The woman said that she is a relative of an official in the Central Discipline Inspection Committee," Mao said.

Xue Yang, an officer from Changqiao police station, who took the statement of the incident Friday, denied he had revealed Mao's home address.

"The case [from Thursday] is under investigation, but I can't reveal the names of the two suspects and their social status," said Xue, adding that Mao will have tests to establish the extent of his injuries on Monday.

Mao has asked for a verbal apology for the incident.
