There were two cases of H1N1 reported in Shanghai in December, the Shanghai Health Bureau disclosed Tuesday.
Of the 8,047 people who came down with infectious diseases last month, five died, including one of AIDS and three of tuberculosis.
The health bureau pointed out that the city still faces serious challenges in preventing H1N1 due to the migration that comes with the upcoming Spring Festival holiday. It reminded citizens to seek medical treatment immediately if they have symptoms of a fever.
