A migrant worker was prosecuted by Xicheng prosecutors for allegedly organizing prostitution, the Beijing Evening News reported Monday.

The migrant worker, surnamed Liu, got a job as a cleaner in a teahouse with a monthly wage of 5,000 yuan ($804) on April 2 last year. He did not know the teahouse was in the prostitution business at first, but then the lure of the salary led him to start introducing prostitutes to customers and charging money for it.

Liu was arrested by police on May 8.
