Forming a national salvation government, which was the main precondition of the opposition National Salvation Front (NSF) for a national dialogue, is not in the interest of Egyptians, Bakinam al-Sharqawy, advisor of President Mohamed Morsi said on Tuesday after a national dialogue was earlier boycotted by the NSF.

"The formation of a salvation government will take a long time, which will affect the citizens' daily life," al-Sharqawy told reporters during a press conference, noting that the dialogue focused on mechanisms to implement what would be agreed on by all members.

For his part, another presidential advisor Ayman Ali said that 15 parties were invited to the dialogue and that the presidency was expecting more movements and political forces to join.
