There will be 180 ambulances on standby on Spring Festival Eve in case residents are injured by fireworks, the Beijing Evening News reported.

Most ambulances will be at residential compounds and key areas like Qianmen and Tiananmen. Beijing emergency rescue center said injured people will be transported for free.
