China's environmental watchdog says they haven't detected any radioactive fallout in Northeast China.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection has been monitoring and evaluating the environment in northeast China, following Tuesday's North Korean nuclear test.

Results collected by 25 automatic monitoring stations located along border areas show radiation remains at a normal level.

Meanwhile, the National Nuclear Emergency Response Center also says it is on high alert, but the recent nuclear test has not affected China's environment.

Yao Bin is the deputy director of the center.

"The NNERC has made a lot of preparations for nuclear emergency. We have made deployments in relevant provinces and have organised 24 departments, included related military organs, to make necessary plans. Fortunately it is far away, and the winds will blow in the direction away from China."

Jilin and Liaoning Provinces share a border with North Korea.

More than 150 radiation monitoring stations across China have been conducting environmental monitoring since Tuesday's nuclear test.
