Myanmar's national carrier, the Myanmar Airways International (MAI), will launch direct flight between Mandalay and Bangkok on March 31 in a bid to satisfy the increasing demands of local and foreign passengers, official media said Tuesday.

With 180-seated Airbus A 320, the flight will be extended for providing international level aviation safety service to the passengers.

The flight will depart Mandalay at 8:35 am local time and arrive in Bangkok at 11 am local time on Mandalay-Bangkok flight.

The flight on Bangkok-Mandalay will leave Bangkok at 6:30 am local time and arrive in Mandalay at 7:55 am local time.

Meanwhile, officials of MAI held talks with those of Air Force Consulting here in the early this month, focusing on cooperation between MAI and France Consulting in passenger service and commercial sectors.

In line with the agreement with Air France Industries, technological training course is being provided to the personnel for extending flights and aviation services.
