Secretary of the Communist Party of China's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection Wang Qishan has vowed severe penalties for lavish banquets and tours fueled by public funds in a work report.

Its full text was issued on Monday by the Xinhua News Agency. Wang also vowed to intensify efforts to prevent corrupt officials from escaping the country, as well as recover stolen money or goods.
