Suicide attack wounds 7 in Kabul

Seven people including a civilian sustained injuries as a suicide bomber targeted an Afghan army bus in the capital city Kabul on Wednesday.

"A suicide bomber blew his explosive jacket up near an Afghan army bus at about 7:10 am local time in Pul-e-Sokhta area of Kabul city injuring seven people including six service members of the defense ministry and a civilian," the Kabul police said in a statement.

All the injured men have been taken to nearby hospital for medical treatment, it added.

Defense Ministry has yet to make comment.

Meantime, Zabihullah Mujahid who claims to speak for the Taliban outfit in talks with media via telephone from unknown location claimed of responsibility, insisting a Taliban fighter named Sayed Jan targeted a bus of national army leaving over a dozen army personnel dead and injured.
