The city's registered unemployment rate remained at 4.2 percent in 2012, the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau said Wednesday. The bureau helped 10,669 people to start businesses last year and created 613,800 new jobs. It also helped find jobs for 7,330 people who had been unemployed for at least one year.
