France's flag carrier Air France planned to mark this year's international Women's Day with the biggest ever all-female crew, the company said on Thursday.

With two female pilots and 22 air hostesses, "the biggest all-female crew which has ever been organized in the aviation history" will ensure the Airbus 380 flight from Paris to Washington, Air France said.

The female-operated flight on March 8 has become a tradition at Air France, the company said.

The French carrier's data showed that 7 percent of its pilots are women. The first female flight captain joined the company in 1974.
