Speaker of Myanmar's House of Representatives (Lower House) USwe Mann has warned against anarchic acts, mob ocracy and misuse of democracy in the country's democratization process, official media reported Sunday.

"The nation will suffer loss if anarchic acts, mob ocracy and misuse of democracy are neglected," USwe Mann told local people in Yangon's Dala township Saturday.

"Today, governance is not administered by men but by principles, " he pointed out.

"This era sees the governance characterized by wishes, voices and opinions of the people," he said, stressing that "both the government and civilians are to abide by whatever legislation once it is enacted".

He warned against acts putting the nation into the reverse direction.

Noting that challenges are unavoidable in changing from one system to another, nonetheless, he said, democratization and market economy must be continued, calling for rule of law and public participation which is essential in building modern, developed, disciplined and democratic nation.
