President Xi Jinping said Monday that China's development benefits the rest of the world, including its neighbors.

China's development is not a zero-sum game but a win-win process, said Xi when meeting with representatives of about 30 well-known enterprises from China and overseas at the ongoing Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2013.

First of all, the country's development will benefit its neighbors, he said.

Last year, about 15.76 million Chinese people traveled to neighboring countries in East and South East Asia, according to the president.

In the next five years, the country's imports will reach 10 trillion US dollars and its outbound investment will grow at a fast rate, which will contribute to the global economy, Xi said.

The Chinese government will stick to reform and opening-up and create a more friendly environment for foreign investors, he said.

Xi said he hopes foreign enterprises will seize the opportunities that are available in China.

Yasuo Fukuda, chairman of the forum's board of directors and former Japanese Prime Minister, also attended the dialogue, an important part of the annual conference in Boao, a coastal town in south China's Hainan Province.
