The Nigerian Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) has called on all levels of government to endeavour to sponsor other sporting activities, besides football.

President of the federation Kayode Omotoshe made the appeal in central north Kwara State on Wednesday, saying table tennis also engages the youth, who are vulnerable to social vices and malice in the society.

Omotoshe appealed to other levels of government to shift attention to other sports, to enhance their development and not for any "imaginary" tussle with football.
